Sandy & Emma
"Life before the trail seems surreal.
Life after the trail seems impossible.
We live in the here and now
which is all that really matters."
-Pacific Crest Trail 2016

Sandy and Em share a love of the great outdoors, adventure and simplicity. They both work in demanding, high-pressure roles in busy urban environments. To balance life out they spend all their time off exploring new environments and using the wilderness to re-energize theirs souls.

After completing the Australian Alpine Walking Trail in 2015 carrying 25kg+backpacks they thought there must be a better way. That’s when they stumbled upon lightweight hiking gear and 50 days lightweight.

This lead to a complete change in their mindset and set the wheels in motion to complete the 4200km Pacific Crest Trail in 2016 hiking from Mexico to Canada over 160 days.

Between the two of them they’ve now completed some of the most spectacular hiking trails in Australia- South Coast Trail, The Western Arthurs traverse, Larapinta Trail, Du Cane traverse to name a few.

Their most recent adventure saw them paddling down the Snake River in the Yukon with 10 of their best mates. They have no idea what adventures are around the corner, but are sure it will involve many more nights sleeping under the stars.
